Hello,

This is last Mail Call until I return from Kissimmee reunion. I am leaving snow country in one hour.  It is incomplete.

We are starting a fund with volunteer contributions to assist our friends from Belgium and France to attend the St. Louis reunion. You can send a contribution to Leo Dean at  14 Stonehenge Lane, Albany New York 12203

You must notify me when you change email address.

Please let me know if your email is not to be included in Mail Call by inserting FYEO.

You may at times have a problem viewing photos. However, we place most photos on the website under Training and WWII Photos .

Please let me know if you want to receive Mail Calls or if you have a problem receiving them. You can always read Mail Calls by clicking on www.517prct.org/archives

Dear Battlin Buzzards,

Can't make the Kissimmee reunion. Pat is in the hospital . We were diving home Christmas eve when were broadsided by a young lady running a red light.  Patty has a separated collarbone, broken ribs, 30+ stitches in her head.  She will be o.k. in due time but healing will be slow. She does not want visitors at this time. However, if anyone  wants to send a note:  She is in room 130A The Health Care Center , 550 National Health Care Drive, Daytona Beach ,FL 32114 . She can't handle phone calls well, due to her normal COPD aggravated by  broken ribs. I was released the accident night with practically no  injuries. Must have hit on my hard head.

Subject: Accounts of the 3rd Battalion Attack on Manhay

 Gentlemen,

I am having trouble downloading the above oral history on both Music Match and Windows Media Player on two different computers.  On both softwares the story cuts off at 2 minutes and 7 seconds.  It is a really interesting account and I was hoping to hear it again.

P.S. I found your website while doing some research on Robert E. McMahon.  He was my mom's uncle.

Thanks much,

Theresa Walner

Note:  Major Robert E. McMahon has plenty of material on the web site.  See list below.  McMahon is well known and mentioned often by the men of the 517th.
