517 Re-Enactors
Southern France - Aug 15-26 2006
Dear Sir,
I am a ww2 historian and collector living in Geneva Switzerland. I am a member of the French association "44 memories" who organized this year a tribute to the the 517th prct.
For 2 weeks from aug 15th to aug 26th, we were about 30 of us dressed in ww2 517th prct ww2 uniforms from le Muy to Cannes we participated and paraded in all major ceremonies. We made a 15 km march around la Motte and le Muy on the footsteps of the 517th and participated at the ceremony at the draguignan us cemetery. I'm including pictures of our match and parade. i hope you will put them online, I'm sure the vets will
appreciate.
If you want to know more about our activities or about our time in southern France don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards gilles

Hello Ben and Bob,
I hope you are fine. I have just posted on YouTube two mini-videos of our reenactments last summer. They are very short though.
Kind regards from Switzerland, Gilles
