Hello,

Becky Martinette has sent us a copy  of a letter written by a German soldier in 1944. She has the original. To get the full impact of the story behind this letter  you should read information about her father, Maurice White who was a medic with "H" Co. This background is in the BATTLING BUZZARDS  Paperback pages 256-258 and hardcover pages 207-209.

In order to avoid sending downloads I often scan material and send it like a photo. You can always enlarge the print if necessary by right clicking on the mouse.

I am finally home and catching up on my OLD e-mail!  Thank you so much
for helping me get the Paratrooper Odyssey Book.  I had purchased 6 from
Bill Lewis and had one for each of my sons and grandsons, but I have a
new great-grandson and I think I should have one to present to him
someday, since he did not get to know his great-grandfather.    The
Reunion was great!  Everyone did a great job and I am sure each person
had an enjoyable time.  The tours planned we re special, but I
especially enjoyed seeing the old friends many whom I had known for many
years and many I had only heard Monk speak of.  I guess that is what
Reunions are all about.                                  I hope
theChristi's and Dardens know how much their efforts were appreciated.
Thank you again for your help.   I am happy I got to meet you and your
wife in the restaurant..a lot more personal.                   As Dick
Seitz says:"Airborne All the Way"
