Ben,
The subject matter (AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL) was really a heart warming rendition of the song. It was very inspirational, I have forwarded 362 to all my E-mail buddies and friends.

I still struggle with the new e-mail, so I'm responding to the France question
via mailcall.....please forward as necessary.

I know that my dad will be interested in France 04.  I am not sure I can take
the kids out of school for so long, nor can we afford such a trip times 4, but
we'll take a look at Dad's information and talk it over.

Dad is Allan Johnson (596)

Hackettstown, NJ  07840

Thanks -

Ben,

Hello.

I am the son of Willard S. Wyatt (Hqs. 2nd Bn) also know as But Wyatt.

Just want to take the time to say hello and look forward to being put on the 517th mailing list.

I will try to send you more information about the Free Patriotic Coin from USAA (Insurance co.).

From what I know you don't have to be a member of USAA but to have only served our country.

I will talk to you soon.  Later this week.

Take Care
Sincerely

William B. Wyatt

Chris,

Here it is a gain.

Please send to the 517th new letter.

USAA (Insurance co.) is offering a free patriotic coin for commitment to our
nation.

Although I am a member, you do not have to be a member of USAA or service
member to receive this free gift.

All you have to do is call 1-888-558-8825 and give the promotional code ASCN
to the representative when you call.

To me it was easier to call and talk to the representative and give her the
information that she was asking for rather than trying to go through the
computer system.

The front of the coin shows an eagle with wings and talons spread with a
flag in the background.
The words "Proud Member" "United States Armed Forces" are  printed around
the outside circle.

The back of the coin shows a 5 point star with identifying each of the
services:
Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard between the stars legs.
The words "United We Stand" "Defenders of Freedom" printed around the
outside circle.

Talk to you latter.

Thank you,

Sincerely,
_

Bruce Wyatt

My father, Tony Esparza, passed away on September 6.  One of his last wishes was that the pictures he had when he was at Fort Benning and in Rome during World II be added to the 517th website.  Unfortunately, my e-mail is very limited on how many attachments I can send at one item.  I will have to send the pictures one at a time.  There is a total of 7 photos.  Attached is 1 of 7.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.

Lorraine Esparza

Hello Lorraine,

I am very sorry to hear about your Dad's passing away.

I just returned from traveling today, but I did manage to post the photos tonight.  They scanned in fine and look great.  They are on the Photos web page.

The people identified all appear to be part of Company I.

Also, I may be mistaken, but it looks like you can make out your dad on the large picture of the 3rd Battalion at Camp Mackall on the web site.  All the way to the right side, second row (behind the officers), 2nd from the right.

Regards,

Bob Barrett                                           *****************
There is an excellent photo of Frank Dallas in this group of photos.
